For questions about how your personal data is processed, write to: xtag.info@gmail.com.

Data collected and purposes of processing

Data voluntarily provided through the contact form

When you fill in the form on the “Contact” page, we collect the information you provide: name, email address, request type, and message text. We use this information only to respond to your request (information on a kit, an installation quote, technical support, or other inquiries).

The legal basis for processing is the performance of pre-contractual measures requested by the data subject, or the controllers’ legitimate interest in responding to contact requests voluntarily submitted (Art. 6.1.b and 6.1.f GDPR). Providing this data is optional but necessary to receive a reply.

The contact form is handled through the third-party service Web3Forms, which processes the form content for the sole technical purpose of delivering it to our email inbox. As Web3Forms is based in the United States, this involves a transfer of data outside the EU; we invite you to review Web3Forms’ own privacy policy for details on the safeguards adopted and data retention on their end.

Browsing data

The IT systems and software procedures used to operate this website acquire, in the course of their normal operation, certain data whose transmission is implicit in the use of internet communication protocols (e.g. IP address, browser type, pages visited, date and time of the visit). This data is collected automatically by the hosting provider for security purposes and to ensure the correct functioning of the service, and is not associated with identifiable individuals.

This website does not use profiling cookies or statistical/advertising analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics), and does not perform any form of user profiling.

How data is processed

Personal data is processed using IT and/or paper-based tools, following logic strictly related to the purposes stated above, and in any case in a way that ensures its security and confidentiality, adopting technical and organizational measures suited to preventing loss, unlawful or incorrect use, and unauthorized access.

Data retention period

Data collected through the contact form is retained for as long as necessary to handle the request and, subsequently, for the period required by applicable tax and civil law should the request lead to a commercial relationship.

Your rights

You may ask the data controllers to exercise your rights under Articles 15-22 of the GDPR, including the right to:

  • obtain confirmation of the existence of a processing activity and access your data;
  • obtain rectification of inaccurate data or the completion of incomplete data;
  • obtain erasure of your data (“right to be forgotten”), where provided for by law;
  • obtain restriction of processing;
  • object to the processing of your data;
  • receive your data in a structured, commonly used format (right to data portability);
  • lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, www.garanteprivacy.it), or with your local supervisory authority, if you believe the processing of your data violates applicable law.

To exercise your rights, write to xtag.info@gmail.com.

Minors

This website is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from minors without the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that visited websites send to the user’s browser, where they are stored to be transmitted back to those same websites on the next visit.

Cookies used by this website

xtag-ir.net is a static website that does not install profiling, analytics, or marketing cookies on first access, and therefore does not require a consent banner for this category of cookies.

The following may still apply:

  • Strictly necessary technical cookies that may be set by the browser or the hosting provider for the website to function correctly. These do not require consent under applicable law.
  • Third-party cookies related to YouTube videos: the videos featured on this site (e.g. on the “How it works” and “Press” pages) are embedded in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com domain). This means YouTube does not set profiling cookies until you voluntarily click the play button; from that point on, Google/YouTube’s own privacy policy applies.
  • Links to external social platforms: pages on this site contain links to Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. Clicking these links will take you away from our site and subject you to the privacy and cookie policy of the destination platform; our site does not set any cookies from these platforms until you click the respective links.

How to manage cookies from your browser

You can manage or disable cookies in your browser settings at any time. Disabling strictly necessary cookies may affect the website’s correct functioning. The procedure for managing cookies varies from browser to browser: you can find instructions on the official website of the browser you use (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, etc.).

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated over time, including in connection with regulatory changes or the introduction of new services (for example, analytics or marketing tools, which will be preceded by an update to this page and, where required by law, a consent banner). We invite you to check this page periodically.
